How do you feel about white poppies?
My fiance wears one every year, but I make him take it off when he is out with me because I don't like them, even though I have my red poppy.
To me it is pubically shunning a worthy charity that could help pay for a soldier's new legs and I feel that Rememberance Day should just just that, and that World Peace promoters should stay clear at this point.
Realism over Idealism.
Your thoughts? Am I right to tell him to remove it when we go out?
I dont think you are ever right to make someone follow your ideals, if you dont like what he wants to do or how he thinks maybe you dont like him or respect him enough - I would leave someone who couldn't respect my own ideals and how i wish to show them - I give money to red poppy sellers and also buy white poppies I respect my war dead and I respect peace too there needs to be no war about this issue and what I do is totally my business and in my gift - I hate being preached at by anyone who think s there is only one side.
